Modena, 10 July 2024 – Makeitalia press release. The National Supply Chain Championship between Italian Universities has completed the Qualifying phase and is ready to play the final challenge of its third edition.
Supply Chain Challenge: what is it?
It’s called Supply Chain Challenge and it’s not a football, volleyball or baseball championship. It is the first National Supply Chain Championship among the Italian Universities. Created by the Modena-based company Makeitalia, active in the Supply Chain Management sector for over 15 years, the competition between the Master’s Degree courses in Management Engineering is now ready for the final match which will be played in Modena on 17 September 2024.
21 Universities involved, over 1,200 students involved in the Qualification phase, 76 participants in the final challenge, only 1 winning team.
Objectives and Partnership
Designed to bring out the best talents and create new professional opportunities for students, the Supply Chain Challenge has seen a first phase of Qualifications. An 8-month stage race held in the following Universities: Parma, Firenze, Napoli Parthenope, Napoli Federico II, Bergamo, Padova, Cassino e Lazio Meridionale, Rome Tor Vergata, Rome Sapienza, Calabria (Cosenza), Palermo, Trento, Siena, Brescia, Pisa, Bologna, Modena e Reggio Emilia, Polytechnics of Bari, Milano, Torino, Marche.
The final event will also be supported by some international partner companies, who have decided to accompany Makeitalia in this initiative, sharing its values such as concreteness, meritocracy and excellence. Among the partner companies: Ferrari, Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna and DSV – Global Transport and Logistics. The final match, which will be played on 17 September 2024 and will be held at the Modena Golf & Country Club (in the province of Modena), will be a unique opportunity for students to compare themselves with the world of job, as well as being the last challenge that will elect the new Italian Champions of this third edition.
