A new challenge is about to start. An innovative event in the field of Supply Chain: Makeitalia presents the first edition of the Supply Chain Challenge – Italian League 21-22 between the Italian Universities!
The Supply Chain Challenge is, in fact, an event that was born from an idea of Makeitalia.
We are a company from Modena that deals with Supply Chain Management. A dynamic and enterprising reality constantly oriented towards excellence and innovation. A company that, since its foundation, believes in collaboration between the business world and the University, with reciprocal important advantages such as generating professional opportunities and offering a path of growth for young talents, first of all.
The Supply Chain Challenge is the first national championship in the field of Supply Chain that will involve the major Italian Universities, in particular the Faculty of Management Engineering. This championship will be held during the entire academic year.
Creation of reliable supply chains, risk management and efficient management of the same are topical issues. Topics brought to the fore also by the recent global pandemic shock, with the relative upheaval and questioning of logic considered acquired until now. Not only pandemic shocks, but also shortages of raw materials, increases in transport costs and other issues leads to having to make the right decisions. The management and the optimization of the supply chains become more and more fundamental concepts in the processes of a company, because they decree the success of the same.
It is for this reason that Makeitalia has the desire to bring out through an innovative Challenge the best talents, those who will deal one day with Supply Chain.
The Supply Chain Challenge event is named after a tool developed by Makeitalia, the Supply Chain Game. A simulation and training model for university students through which the “player” can play the role of Supply Chain Manager. They can experience, in a real scenario, the choices of those who must manage a supply chain, testing the effects of each decision and verifying their impact on the income statement of the company.
